About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will work across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering person-centred care that recognises residents as individuals with their own stories. This role is for night shift, involving planning and implementing care to give residents security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the team. You may be involved in showing how to use mobility aids, supporting residents at mealtimes or communicating with families, all with kindness at the forefront. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and may administer medication. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and are prepared to work toward Level 3 or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Essential is your positive energy, the ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, effective time management, and a considerate, kind approach in all communications.
