New Business Account Manager
Location; Southampton
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Bonus: up to 10% annual performance bonus
Car allowance: £4000 per annum

Purpose of job
To successfully lead the creation and development of a new business development unit in the UK and Ireland, to effectively manage a set of key trading accounts and to seek out new business opportunities which will maximise new product launches and create new trading relationships.

Key duties and responsibilities
To create and build a successful business development strategy to ensure future market exploitation by the UK & Ireland Garmin sales team
To create annual and longer-term sales plans using strong knowledge of the Garmin business and deep and broad knowledge of the market, competitors and partners
To nurture and grow immature accounts into key partnership accounts which can then to be passed over to the sales team for continuous business as usual Key Account Management
To ensure the success of key new product launches and events through identifying key new channels, prospects, niche business opportunities and customers
To seek out opportunities to develop and expand existing Garmin products and technologies, to secure further future markets through a thorough understanding of the products, technology, customers, and potential customers; e.g. hunting markets, satellite communication,
RV infotainment systems, digital switching, military & services, to name a few examplesTo identify growing markets for targeting through analysis of market trends, knowledge of associated technical needs, disruptions and also through a thorough understanding of our competitors market positions, technical benefits and weak points
Create and lead a successful new business cycle with clear monitoring, responsibilities and communication channels from lead generation, sales pipelines and prospect identification through to presentations, appointments and partnering activities and events
Build positive and effective relationships across the sales and marketing department to ensure the maximisation of new business opportunities, which become long-term solid partnerships and repeat business, including accretive incremental revenue streams for the business, such as subscriptions

Education & Experience;
Successful sales/Key account management experience
Experience in lead-generation, prospect/pipeline management and naturing new accounts &/or developing channels within a business
Drive to succeed
Truly entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to present information succinctly and clearly
Ability to deal with competing priorities and projects
Passion for and understanding of all Garmin products and technology, demonstrated through continuous use and knowledge
Excellent relationship building skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Negotiation skills
Positive colleague and supportive of others, good team member
Valid drivers licence
