Operations Manager
CK Group are recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our waste management, environmental, and recycling client-based industry, at their site near Leeds,
permanently.

They have a number of core services including municipal services, business waste solutions, recycling and green energy.

This role is located at our client's site near Leeds.
Role Summary:
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the waste treatment and transfer operations on-site. You will be responsible for ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with our environmental permits and company policies. You will also lead a team including Chemists, Process Technicians, and Operatives, ensuring high standards of compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.
Your main duties will be:
1. Implement and uphold the company's SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policy.
2. Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and are equipped to fulfil them.
3. Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe working methods and enforce relevant procedures and regulations.
4. Perform environmental aspects and impacts analyses to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with related procedures.
5. Provide clear written work instructions outlining potential hazards and required safety precautions.
6. Manage waste treatment and transfer operations in line with permits, health & safety, and environmental policies.
Your Background:
7. Degree, HNC, or HND in Chemistry or a related discipline (preferred).
8. Health and Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
9. Experience in the chemical process or waste treatment industry.
10. Proficient in operating and maintaining mobile plant and fixed machinery.
