We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work–life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. We’re the first to say we do HR differently here. For a start, we work as business partners and specialists. Whether that’s making sure nearly 150,000 colleagues are paid on time, or shaping a strategy that helps us attract the right people, put them in the right place, and unlock their potential. This is a fast-moving business, and our policies and rewards evolve with it. That’s why we’re as flexible as we can be about where and when you work. We’re also flexible about your future. There’s always room to move up or across, if that’s what you want. We really value different perspectives, so there’s no one opinion, no single path, and yours matters.

With regular travel to Supply Chain & Logistics sites (predominantly South, with some Midlands/North). Time will be split between site visits, occasional Store Support Centre collaboration, and home working.

About The Team
Our Supply Chain & Logistics teams play a critical role in enabling Sainsbury’s to deliver for customers every day, operating at pace across complex, operational environments. The People Partnering team sits at the heart of this division, working closely with senior leaders to shape culture, strengthen leadership capability and drive sustainable performance.
This is an environment where People decisions have wide‑reaching impact. You’ll support teams across distribution and logistics networks, influencing outcomes that improve colleague experience, operational effectiveness and long‑term business performance.
More About The Role
As a People Partner, you’ll partner with senior leaders across Supply Chain & Logistics as a trusted and visible advisor, supporting the execution and delivery of the divisional people plan. You’ll translate business priorities into clear, data‑led people actions, acting as a conduit into Centres of Expertise to ensure the right capability is engaged to solve business challenges.
Day to day, you’ll mobilise and deliver people plans that build leadership capability, enable performance and embed a high‑performance, inclusive culture. This will include supporting organisational effectiveness and design activity, leading or contributing to change and transformation initiatives, and coaching leaders to take ownership of people outcomes. You’ll use people data and business insight to prioritise actions, track progress against agreed measures and ensure people interventions deliver measurable impact.

You build effective, trusted relationships with senior leaders, influence with credibility, and provide appropriate coaching and constructive challenge.
