Position Information
* Title: Lead Instructor, Electrical Systems Technology
* Employment: Full-Time (Permanent)
* Number of Months: 10
* Proposed Start Date: 12/01/2025
* Work Schedule: Minimum 37.5‑hour work week, occasional evenings and some weekends may be required.
* Salary: Commensurate with education and direct experience

Position Summary
The instructor will teach Electrical Systems Technology courses in Curriculum and Continuing Education; provide high quality learning opportunities that assist students in meeting their educational goals and career aspirations; perform instructional‑related responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College; the instructor will also demonstrate a commitment to the Learning College concept, assessment, cooperative learning, and student advising.
The Lead instructor will coordinate the activities of adjunct instructors, advise students, consult with the Dean on curriculum and continuing education compliance and opportunities, fulfill requirements as stated in the faculty job description, and perform duties assigned by the Dean of Applied Technologies.
Responsibilities
* Develop course outlines and teaching materials based on state curriculum and continuing education standards and recommend changes as needed
* Facilitate the delivery of courses in the Electrical Systems Technology program each academic year
* Deliver a full‑time teaching load providing a combination of traditional, internet, hybrid, high school dual enrollment, and continuing education classes as needed for the academic year
* Serve as a curriculum and career development advisor to Electrical Systems Technology students
* Actively recruit, cultivate, and retain quality adjunct faculty
* Conduct classroom observations of adjunct faculty in coordination with the Dean
* Serve on various college committees and community organizations
* Develop Program Enhancement Plans, including other planning and assessment documents as needed by the Dean and Institutional Assessment
* Propose and monitor the Electrical Systems Technology equipment and supply budget
* Serve as an ambassador in the community for the College and the Electrical Systems Technology program
* Assist and consult with the Dean, upon request
* Establish and maintain relationships among community and employer partners
* Other duties as assigned

* Must work well independently and within a small team to support the division’s infrastructure
* Display initiative, flexibility, and the ability to determine priorities; ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and accomplish goals within set time and financial limits
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and with a minimum of supervision
Minimum Qualifications
* Associate degree in a related field including, but not limited to, Electrical Systems Technology, Construction Electricity, Electrical Engineering; or an appropriate combination of applicable education, licensures/certifications, and practical work experience
* Applicable state residential licensure and certifications, required
* Experience in the Electrical Systems field, beyond teaching, required
Preferred Qualifications
* Applicable state residential licensure and certifications, residential and commercial (preferred)
