Your role as Procurement Manager:
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing sourcing strategies across a range of allocated categories within our category management framework. Your focus will be on delivering value for money, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with our procurement strategy and business objectives.
You will lead strategic national and international supplier selection and contract negotiations for defined category areas, acting as a role model for best-in-class procurement practices. This is a high-impact role with significant commercial influence over PHS’s third-party expenditure, requiring agility and excellence in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy Development: Design and implement procurement strategies that achieve financial targets and enhance service, quality, supply chain resilience, and risk management.
2. Category Management: Deliver category strategies and sourcing activities that generate measurable benefits and cost savings through detailed analysis of spend, supply base, and market trends.
3. Market Insight: Conduct supply market analysis to identify potential suppliers, emerging trends, and cost drivers.
4. Procurement Excellence: Apply leading procurement tools and techniques, including: Supply market positioning and supplier profiling Supplier assessment and financial analysis RFI, RFP, RFQ, and ITT processes Service level agreements and e-auctions Cost analysis and objective decision-making
