Data Analyst

We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Data Analyst to join our Strategy and Performance team. This is a pivotal role where you will support the development of our business intelligence capabilities.
What you’ll do
* Take a leading role in enhancing the Council’s data and analytical capabilities.
* Design, build and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards to support evidence-based decision making and oversight.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather, analyse and interpret data.
* Deliver high-quality performance and impact reports that highlight key trends and strategic insight.
* Support the development and implementation of a robust data strategy and maturity framework.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in a data analyst role, ideally within the public sector.
* Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling.
* Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools (e.g., Python or R).
* Ability to communicate complex data and insight clearly to a range of audiences.
* A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
