The Emotional Health and Wellbeing (EHWB) service offers therapeutic interventions and support to children, young people, and their families. The role involves facilitating one-to-one and occasional group work with children aged 5 to 16 years within schools. Successful candidates will be based in a school during school hours. This role is ideal for graduates or professionals seeking a rewarding, supportive yet challenging position working directly with children, young people, their families, and school pastoral teams. Experience in therapeutic work with children or young people, safeguarding, assessments, and outcome monitoring is required. Family support may be provided via telephone, virtual means, or at the school venue.

Contract details:
Fixed-term until March 2026, subject to funding.
Hours of work:
Negotiable for part-time roles. Full-time hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday, 9am to 4.30pm.
Work pattern:
Monday to Friday; part-time and sessional positions considered.
Office base:
Community-based.
Work locations:
Central Lancashire.
Salary:
CANW scale points 23 - 25, £24,602 - £26,209 (pro-rata for part-time/sessional roles).
All roles within CANW have a responsibility for safeguarding children and adults. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check against the Children’s Barred List.
Experience required:
Counselling skills level 3 and above, as per the person specification.
