Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production processes adhere to food safety standards, maintaining efficiency, and supervising a team of production staff. Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to meet daily targets and quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and other food safety regulations throughout all stages of production.
* Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety, production logs, and quality assurance records, being computer literate is essential for this role.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
* Train new staff on food safety procedures, equipment operation, and company policies.
* Collaborate with maintenance teams to address mechanical issues promptly and minimise downtime.
* Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Experience
* Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments, ideally within a supervisory role is required.
* Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety regulations is essential.
* Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial equipment is highly desirable.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis.
* Familiarity with food safety management systems and quality assurance procedures.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively and ensure compliance with strict standards. This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food safety and production efficiency. Applicants should possess relevant experience in the industry along with the necessary technical skills to succeed in this supervisory role.
* Experience with managing staff rota's, timekeeping, attendance and performance is essential.
Work Pattern
* You will work 4 days per week, on a rota to include Saturday working
* 07:00 - 17:30, 4 days per week but flexibility is required
