Job Description
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
The purpose of this role is to support the UK commercial team with routine quotations and onboarding of new customers and projects into the UK sites. To ensure projects are correctly booked into the ELIMs system and facilitate a smooth handover between technical and commercial.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and issue customer quotations based on pricing frameworks, technical input, and project requirements.
* Log and process sample bookings into the laboratory system, ensuring accuracy of metadata, timelines, and required documentation.
* Act as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing updates, answering queries, and escalating issues when needed.
* Coordinate project handovers between sales, technical teams, and project management to ensure smooth onboarding and clear expectations.
* Monitor project progress and proactively communicate delays, risks, or required clarifications to customers and internal stakeholders.
* Support troubleshooting by gathering information, liaising with technical experts, and ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns.
* Maintain CRM and internal tracking systems, ensuring all customer interactions, quotes, and project details are up to date.
* Assist with contract and documentation preparation, including NDAs, service agreements, and onboarding forms.
* Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling, cross‑selling, or expanding customer engagement.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and contributing to workflow enhancements across commercial and operational teams.
* Other tasks / duties that may be required in order to perform the role.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic to learn and a mindset for growth.
* A working knowledge of the CRO industry. Experience working in any role within a CRO (Technical, Quality, Sample booking in ect.)
* Scientific qualification will be desirable.
* Comfortable talking to customers and troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication skills, customer service and troubleshooting mindset.
* Comfortable working with multiple IT systems including CRM and ELIMs. Prior experience desirable but training will be provided.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Site based but willingness to occasionally travel for client visits or promotional events.
