* Salary range: £28,372 – £32,224 per annum
* Working hours: 36 hours per week
* Shift allowance: None
* Location: Guildford, Surrey
* Starting salary will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro‑rated if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

* This is a position based at Guildford HQ with a five day working week Monday to Friday. Start time 07:30, however, this can be flexible.
* Management of the generic inbox of the Driver Training team, including responding to complex correspondence and queries and providing timely and appropriate responses.
* Maintain and organise Microsoft Teams profile to ensure it is current and contains content relevant to the department and aligned across both Surrey and Sussex.
* Liaise daily with staff and officers as well as key stakeholders from the business such as duties, L&PD Admin Team, Business partners and divisional commanders.
* Develop and maintain databases to assist with training delivery and timely reviews of training material. Process the force online basic car applications.
* Provide administrative support in arranging and assisting with the facilitation of training courses. This includes identifying and booking classrooms, checking classroom resources, and ensuring trainers have relevant vehicles.
* Manage delegate lists for Specialist Units, the C1, D1 & C licence acquisition process and income generation; raise purchase orders and invoices.
* Assist in the creation and management of any new processes in line with new technology, working closely with driving standards and the telematics team.


Skills & Experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to understand and maintain student and trainer confidentiality and accurate record keeping.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise and manage workloads whilst often working against tight deadlines.
* Ability to assimilate and undertake technical tasks while looking for efficiencies with current working practices.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure, often making quick time decisions around driver training courses in the absence of the Chief Driving Instructor.
* Excellent IT skills, conversant with Word, Excel, Teams, Microsoft 365 and diary management in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to travel to other sites within the organisation across Sussex and Surrey so a full driving licence is essential.
