We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Gartree, a category B men's prison located in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The prison houses approximately 640 patients, where we deliver primary care, mental health, and substance misuse services.
In this role, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Monday to Sunday - 08:30 - 16:30
This is a Bank position, and you’ll receive a bank hourly rate of £23 per hour (weekdays) or £24.79 (weekends).

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
* Be responsible for assessments and ongoing management of patients’ mental health needs.
* Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social, and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care, seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to ensure care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.
* Deliver non-judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships, and promote professional boundaries.
* Participate actively in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care following policies and safeguarding procedures.

* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Experience working within mental health settings, developing knowledge of this patient group
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment
While not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in hospital, community, or prison environments.
