Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Department: Compliance
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer
Hours of Work: 37½ hours per week, Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (with ½ hour unpaid lunch break) or as per departmental working agreement.
Salary Scale: Competitive
Job Purpose
The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of colleagues, the security of facilities, and the integrity of operations across the entire airport platform. This role ensures regulatory compliance with UK Health and Safety (HSE) legislation, leads the Safety Management System (SMS), and manages preventative and emergency response provisions. The jobholder will play a critical role in fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation in line with company vision and values. They will also work closely and collaboratively with other individuals and key departments within the organization (Chief Operating Officer, Aerodrome Safety Manager, Chief Technical Officer, Engineering Manager, Rescue and Firefighting Service) to promote high standards in terms of Health and Safety within the organisation.
