Knowledge

1. Understanding of the surgical patient pathway
2. Working knowledge of basic operating department routine and surgical specialities

3. Aware of AFP Standards and guidelines, conversant with WHO safety checklist
4. Peri-operative practice
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Experience in Anaesthetics, Recovery and Scrub..
6. Experience in Paediatric, Safeguarding children and PILS trained

Qualifications
Essential criteria
8. NMC registered Nurse (Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing) or HCPC registered ODP (Dip (HE) Operating Department Practice

9. Learning and Assessing in Practice (or equivalent teaching/mentoring qualification)
10. Patient Care in Anaesthesia (or equivalent anaesthetic CPD module)
