Offer description

Join to apply for the Domiciliary Optometrist role at Specsavers.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Location & Territory

Covering the Surrey area you’ll be given specific locations within this territory, to help provide care to patients in their own homes.

Business and Culture

We’re proud to have been ranked 16th in the world by Great Place to Work® in 2024. Being a favourite is fun, but being globally recognised is even better. Join a team where people come first, your growth is supported, and your impact truly matters. We’re locally owned, powered by leading‑edge technology, and committed to making eye care accessible and affordable for everyone.

Benefits & Compensation

* Basic salary £70,000 (depending on experience)
* Car allowance of £5,000 (pro rata for part time)
* Welcome bonus of £10,000 (pro rata for part time)
* 33 days annual leave including bank holiday
* Birthday off
* Flexible benefits to suit you
* Great flexibility with full and part‑time roles available
* Auto‑enrolment in the pension scheme with an employer contribution when you contribute
* Specsavers Perks portal to a world of everyday discounts and savings
* WeCare – employee support service for you and your immediate family
* Complimentary subscription to the Headspace app
* Eyecare and hearcare discounts for you and your family
* Enhanced family leave and company sick pay

Qualifications & Requirements

You must be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and have a full driving licence. You should be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Training & Development

The recruitment process includes a Domiciliary‑specific CPD training providing you with 1 non‑interactive CPD point and an exclusive paid interview experience. All other support, training and development opportunities are also available.
