Description
· Warehouse Operations: Daily warehouse operations to ensure inventory is stored properly, and production orders are picked accurately and on time. Ensure all items are readily available to engineering and production teams. Also to check, receive and distribute all other consumables, office supplies etc to their respective locations. Yard and warehouse housekeeping. Waste management on the site such as cardboard and plastic etc
· Inventory Management: Support the Warehouse Manager to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking material movements, and updating inventory systems. Conduct regular stock counts (physical and cycle counts) to ensure accuracy.
· Systems: Using our ERP system to receive all goods that have been ordered. Allocate stock to appropriate locations
· Space Optimization: Sustain efficient warehouse systems, ensuring maximum use of space, easy accessibility, and proper organization of materials. Keep the warehouse environment safe and clean.
· Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and procurement team to schedule incoming deliveries, track outbound shipments, and escalate issues and areas for improvement to the Warehouse Manager
· Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to safety, handling hazardous materials, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
· Reporting and Documentation: Support and maintain documentation for inventory audits and regulatory compliance.
· Process Improvement: Support the Warehouse Manager to continually assess and improve warehouse workflows to improve overall efficiency. Support Lean and Continuous Improvement practices as needed to minimize waste.
· Comply with company policies and procedures.
· Contribute to shaping a culture that reflects company values and enables the company to achieve its goals.
· Build good working relationships across the business.
Profile
A successful Material Handler should have:
Experience in a similar role within logistics or industrial/manufacturing environments.
Certifications: Forklift operation certification (Counterbalance and Reach)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
Process Improvement: Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Experience of working in a low volume high complexity manufacturing environment.Job Offer
