As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including an Industrial Placement - Engineering in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.
What You Will Do
* Assist operational floor in the introduction of new products.
* Control the introduction of Engineering Design changes into production.
* Ensure the accuracy of Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
* Improve where appropriate shop floor processes and control systems to optimise material flow.
* Identify the need for appropriate assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures etc. to enhance productivity.
* To assist in the introduction of lean manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
* Working with other teams and functions to ensure effective delivery.
* Other duties as required to support business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have
* Studying towards a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Qualifications We Prefer
* Relevant experience in implementing the principles of lean manufacturing.
* Relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with the use of CAD systems.
