What You Will Do
1. Day to day running of 5 axis machine centre (Doosan, Mazak & Matsuura)
2. The machining of complex aluminium and stainless fabrications
3. Aid the setting up and proving out of programs with Engineers
4. Support and manage the machine tooling to best achieve drawing tolerances
5. Carry out dimensional checks using the designated tools as defined by each program and Op sheet
6. Set up and run programs in accordance with the Op sheets and Program specifications
7. Escalate any issues, errors or concerns immediately to the Line Manager
8. Any other duties as required by your line manager
9. Support CORE and keep up excellent housekeeping practices
Shifts:
This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts:
10. Morning: 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Friday).
11. Afternoon: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Friday).
There may be a possibility of moving to night shifts. Ample notice will be provided if required.
Experience We Prefer:
12. Recognized engineering apprenticeship e.g. City & Guilds/ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
13. Good level of numeracy and literacy
14. Good level of IT skills
Skills & Certifications:
15. Setting & operating Various machine centre’s
16. Vertical 5 axis machine centres – Doosan, Matsuura & Mazak would be ideal
17. Mazak Intergrex (Tilting ‘B’ Axis) experience
18. Aerospace or Oil & Gas background favourable
19. Self-Inspection
20. Various measuring/ inspection techniques
21. PC Dmis knowledge advantageous – CMM operating
22. Knowledge of machining Aluminium & Stainless fabrications
23. Understanding of adaptive machining – Renishaw probing essential
