Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS, and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally, including water companies, local authorities, highways/rail authorities, and developers.

It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued growth, we seek to recruit Clean Water Modellers/Engineers across our UK offices to support our service delivery and client requirements. Our teams work flexibly, and all listed UK offices are potential home offices for these opportunities. You will join a team of engineers, modellers, geographers, GIS specialists, and technicians, playing a key role in delivering to clients including Water Companies, Local Authorities, and developers, with potential involvement in international projects.

Your purpose:

* Develop computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs, generating outline solutions.
* Analyze data.
* Support the development of engineering solutions and advise clients to aid asset investment decisions.
* Assist in preparing reports and other deliverables.
* Prepare and adhere to health and safety risk assessments.
* Support in developing tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
* Supervise and develop staff, providing guidance for their professional growth.
* Contribute to technical innovation.

What you can bring:

* Experience or awareness of clean water network modelling within Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS packages like ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering; full on-the-job training will be provided.
* Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues is desirable.
* Experience in clean water modelling and distribution networks, including building and calibrating models, and using them for planning and operational purposes.
* Management experience in delivering detailed studies, pressure management, and DMA design.
* Proficiency with modelling software such as SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater.
* For senior roles, experience in technical leadership, project delivery, and quality assurance.
* Ability to coordinate and deliver high-quality projects.
* Supervision of report writing and output review.

Desirable Qualifications:

* BSc/BEng/MEng in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or equivalent, with professional qualifications for senior roles.
* Technician roles require HNC/HND in similar subjects, with opportunities for further qualifications.

Security clearance:
