We're seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Facilities Manager to lead the oversight and management of our Stockport based site. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant facilities that support high-performance production environments.
You’ll be responsible for developing a forward-looking facilities strategy, managing capital projects, leading a skilled team, and driving continuous improvement across infrastructure and operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain rolling facilities plan aligned with business goals
* Lead capital planning, budgeting, and execution of facility upgrades
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance compliance
* Oversee daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing facilities
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
* Ensure compliance industry safety and security standards
* Supervise and develop facilities and maintenance staff
* Monitor operating costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Implement preventive maintenance and emergency response plans
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
* Conduct inspections and risk assessments to mitigate hazards
* Drive facility upgrades and capital improvement projects
* Prepare RFQs, conduct contract reviews, and manage risk
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant engineering qualification
* Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (LOTO, PUWER, etc.)
* Occupational Health and Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
* Proven track record in delivering capital expenditure programmes
* Experience with CMMS systems and contractor control
* Background in engineering or maintenance supervision
* Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
* Knowledge of CMMS systems
