Team Lead (Band 7) Physiotherapist - Acute Stroke Unit (1-year FTC, maternity leave cover)

Hours: 37.5 (part time – at least 30 hours/week will be considered)
Duration: Maternity Cover (one-year fixed-term contract)
Responsibilities
* Lead Physiotherapist on the Acute Stroke Unit, responsible for planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the physiotherapy stroke service.
* Manage the team on a day-to-day basis, including a static Band 6 Physiotherapist, a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist and a part-time Physiotherapist Assistant, providing clinical supervision, appraisals and teaching.
* Carry out performance and absence management as required.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive experience at Band 6 or 7 level of working within stroke and ideally other neurological services. Time spent in an acute environment and a working knowledge of the current National Stroke Guidelines is essential.
