IT Training and Communications Lead (Regional Role – Global IT Organization, Investment Banking)
Our investment banking client is seeking an IT Training and Communications Lead to support the regional execution of a global communication and adoption strategy for our Information Technology organization within their organization. This role is part of a global team driving a firm-wide agenda to enhance user engagement, technology adoption, and awareness. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences, and a proactive approach to driving change in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
* Execute regional communication, training, and adoption initiatives in alignment with the global strategy.
* Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders: Tailor messaging and delivery methods based on audience needs.
* Act as a bridge between technical teams and end users: Translate complex IT concepts into clear, accessible language.
* Manage project rollouts: Oversee the rollout of new projects as needed, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Support internal marketing campaigns: Key contributor to designing and executing the delivery of internal marketing campaigns, including driving adoption of key IT initiatives firmwide.
* Develop and distribute user-friendly materials: Create comprehensive learning materials, including manuals, FAQs, web pages, newsletters, presentations, and videos that are both informative and user-friendly.
* Host engagement events: Plan and execute events to keep end users informed and engaged.
* Lead dynamic trainings: Conduct engaging, organization-wide trainings on various software applications and system security, both virtually and in-person.
* Collect feedback from end users: Identify adoption challenges and work with global teams to enhance communication and training approaches.
* Evaluate and improve: Assess the effectiveness of each educational session and communication plan; provide insightful feedback to management and IT teams.
* Report progress: Generate executive reports on training and communication progress, effectiveness, and plans.
* Support ad hoc requests: Provide support for all other ad hoc learning and communications requests as required.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
* Industry Experience: 4+ years in the technical industry preferred, working as an IT trainer, in a communications role (corporate communications, learning communications), business analyst, marketing, or similar. Experience in an IT or financial services environment is a plus but not required.
* Regional Responsibility: Based in London, responsible for all EMEA populations and some responsibilities in APAC.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and concise content. Comfortable communicating to a global audience using multiple channels and mediums.
* Technical Translation: Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language for a broad audience.
* Training & Education: Experience in training delivery, instructional design, or user education.
* Content Creation: Skilled in writing and simplifying complex information and technical terms, making it relevant, engaging, and valuable. Familiarity with communication tools such as email platforms, intranet publishing, and content management systems.
* Design & Creativity: A design background or high aptitude for creativity is highly desired. Experience with UI/UX design is a plus. Skilled in using Canva, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint Designer is a plus.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Change Management: Understanding of change management principles and how they apply to technology adoption.
* Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work on a team and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
* Proactive Mindset: Demonstrated ability to solve problems using judgment and analysis, providing practical, timely, and proactive communications guidance and support. Highly enthusiastic and driven to get things done efficiently and effectively.
