These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone. We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. Where in Wellcome will I be working? You’ll work in Wellcome Collection’s Production & Planning team, reporting to the Head, Production & Planning and working closely with Project Managers and the Technical Manager. The Production & Planning team is part of the Curatorial & Public Practice department and takes the lead on exhibition production and programme planning. Wellcome Collection’s exhibitions explore the past, present and future of health, bringing together a diverse range of voices, material and ideas. What will I be doing? You’ll support the delivery and maintenance of a ground-breaking programme of exhibitions at Wellcome Collection. You’ll have both practical and administrative duties, working to ensure excellent standards of gallery presentation as well as helping Wellcome Collection achieve its sustainability aims. We are looking for someone who can: Carry out exhibitions installation and deinstallation activities from materials purchasing to object positioning; from updating equipment inventory to packing and labelling. Support Wellcome Collection’s sustainability aims by overseeing off site storage of reusable exhibition furniture and display equipment. Help ensure that exhibitions and displays are well maintained, safe and accessible for our visitors Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments. This is an ideal role for someone with some experience of working on a museum or gallery exhibition programme who has developed hands-on practical skills as well as an aptitude for administrative tasks.
