Planner – Natural Resources & Water
We're looking for a Planner to join our Natural Resources team, working on our Southern Water business unit in our new 7‑year, £1bn framework with Southern Water. The role is based in Falmer, East Sussex, with occasional working from home and regular site visits.
Location
Falmer, East Sussex. We can accommodate occasional working from home, however regular site visits will be required.
Contract
Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired.
Responsibilities
In this role you'll support the production of project programmes and take ownership of key deliverables, providing ad hoc administration support as the role grows.
Your Day To Day Will Include
* Developing programme strategies for construction and tenders.
* Constructing and maintaining detailed programmes (in P6 & 4D – training will be provided) from first principles including resource and cost loading.
* Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation, and input into construction techniques and buildability of construction methods.
* Co‑ordinate with estimators and the project teams on all programme aspects and take ownership of the programme to drive project delivery.
* Contribute, support, and communicate programme information, risk and commercial issues to operational teams in a variety of formats.
Qualifications
This Role Of Planner Is Great For You If
* Previous experience and a sound knowledge of construction techniques, with good commercial and contractual acumen.
* A demonstrable ability to develop, own and drive programmes, along with managing sub‑contractor programmes.
* Experience and understanding of planning techniques and building a programme from scratch.
* Competent in the use of planning software, preferably P6, and 4D software.
* Competent/knowledgeable in the use of design software (CAD and Civils 3D, Revit).
