About the Role
As a supply teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in a range of subjects, depending on your specialism and school requirements. Assignments may be short-term, long-term, or day-to-day cover.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
Adapt quickly to different school settings, policies, and student needs
Follow lesson plans provided by the school, or create engaging lessons where required
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress when necessary
Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3 and KS4)
Strong classroom management skills
Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude
Ability to teach at least one subject specialism (all subject areas considered)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Strong communication and organisational skills
