An award-winning electronics manufacturer in South Wales is currently looking to strengthen its research and development department with the key acquisition of a Mechanical Design Engineer. With investment secured for the next 5 years, this company is in a leading position to capitalise on the market growth. The business has a healthy order book and exciting development plans making it an excellent time to join the company.
Role & Responsibilities:
Create, update and maintain drawing office documentation in accordance with Magstim's policies and procedures. This includes the updating and creation of engineering drawings and also production build drawings used on the production floor for the manufacture of medical devices
Use of Solidworks, AutoCAD and CorelDRAW software to:
Create and update engineering control drawings for a wide variety of production processes.
Create and update production build drawings used on the production floor to build current and future products.
Create and update Bill of Materials.
Support the Engineering Department and all other relevant departments with necessary drawings from concept to handover on NPD projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Degree qualified Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience of using 2D and 3D CAD software packages, ideally AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Worked in a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics or medical but open to other industries.
