Location - Norfolk - A47 Key Responsibilities Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. Collaborate within the project's survey team to; Ensure the project's survey station network is established, communicated and made available to all survey and engineering personnel to download before construction begins. Ensure all survey instruments are checked and calibrated in accordance with the Survey Procedures. Provide a topographical survey in preparation for engineering works on site. Review with the engineering team that sufficient information is available in the correct format to set out the works / enable machine control construction in accordance with the programme, and to resolve any inconsistencies in the information provided, including feedback on any changes made. Take a pro-active approach and reasonable care to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of themselves and others. Facilitate setting out of the works in accordance with contract requirements before the work is programmed to start. Arrange, where required, instruction / training to members of the engineering team who may not be familiar with survey equipment / software being used. Communicate with engineers, foremen, gangers, workforce and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of information provided. Monitor movement of earthworks and structures as necessary. Arrange measures of bulk materials where required. Assist the Senior Surveyor where required to; develop survey budgets, assess and review actual costs, taking action where appropriate, report any changes to the Senior Surveyor, and help with anything else deemed necessary. Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the setting-out information provided, measured before being covered up, and that information is passed to the QS and QA functions Key Skills and qualifications Membership (desirable) or working towards; CICES (preferable) or RICS: Degree in Survey; Geodesy: (desirable) with two years' relevant work experience, OR; related qualification(s) with two years' relevant work experience Schools' certificate in Maths 1 Science Good spoken and written English Have excellent CAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings. Computer literacy in MS Office, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Infinity.
