About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity within a multi-billion turnover business near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and just add value!
Key Responsibilities:
* Support balance sheet accounting and assurance.
* Manage statutory accounting and reporting.
* Oversee systems and process transformations.
* Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership.
* Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
* Assist in budgeting, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
* Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements.
* Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
* Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
* Manage tax filings and compliance.
* Develop and document business processes and policies.
* Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of balance sheets and address discrepancies.
* Implement processes to improve balance sheet management and reporting.
* Support the development of a high-performing finance team.
* Build reports and manage data sets using Excel.
Requirements:
* ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academic background.
* Proven experience leading a sizable finance team.
* Strong expertise in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and processes.
Your Profile:
* People-centric, enthusiastic about financial accounting.
* Willing to commute to the outskirts of Reading 2-3 days a week.
Competitive daily rate of £450-£500, based on experience.
