Responsibilities
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities as applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Complete colleague and contractor searches in line with customer policy.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Produce detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.
Key Requirements
* Valid SIA licence (Guarding or Door Supervisor).
* Previous experience in a Retail Security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Confident communicator capable of detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity.
* Welcoming and patient with customers, able to handle conflict professionally.
* Full 5‑year work or back‑to‑school history checkable.
* Right to work documents and recent proof of address.
