Front of House Assistant / Kitchen Porter St Leonards School, The Pends, St Andrews, KY16 9QJ 40 hours per week £12.71 per hour 5 days out of 7 Term Time Only About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Front of House Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional catering operation, delivering outstanding food service and customer care within a prestigious school environment. As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring excellent service standards, maintaining food safety, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation. What you’ll do: Deliver excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for Sodexo, communicating professionally with customers, clients, and colleagues. Serve customers during busy service periods, prepare and serve food to company standards, and assist with breakfast preparation, basic cooking, and hospitality services. Ensure counters, displays, salad bars, and service areas are fully stocked, clean, tidy, and well presented throughout service. Maintain cleanliness across front of house, kitchen, wash-up, and customer areas, following cleaning schedules and hygiene standards. Follow all food safety, health & safety, COSHH, and company procedures, ensuring food is served safely and at the correct standards. Report any faulty equipment, damaged items, or food safety concerns promptly, and support operational checks, stock control, and wastage reporting. Work closely with the team, attend training and briefings, support site events and promotions, and carry out any additional duties as required by management.
