Hemiko is recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Estimator reporting to the Head of Estimating within the Pre-Construction department. The successful candidate will provide estimating, pricing, and reporting activities for various projects, including Design & Build and Operate & Maintain.
The role requires experience in project pricing, estimation, or quantity surveying, specifically within the Mechanical & Electrical field. The candidate should be comfortable reading and understanding written information, have a proven track record of successfully pricing and winning work, and be proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing estimating services for new bids and existing projects
* Cost estimation and pricing of projects at bid stage
* Quantities take off & measures
* Using existing and developing new pricing models to improve efficiencies
* Seeking out and liaising with new suppliers and subcontractors
Desirable Experience And Qualifications
* Formal qualifications in engineering, estimating, or quantity surveying
* Experience of successful bidding & tendering
* Knowledge of heat pump technologies and district heating and cooling schemes
* Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
