Field-Based Doors Engineer
What You Will Do
As a Field-Based Doors Engineer, you’ll service, install, and repair door systems across the UK. You’ll work in diverse environments—schools, retail spaces, warehouses, manufacturing sites, and residential buildings—ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll contribute to our Zero Harm culture and support team performance through technical excellence and excellent customer service.
How You Will Do It
1. Service, install, repair, and fault-find on a range of door systems
2. Apply risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices
3. Use electrical knowledge to support diagnostics and repairs
4. Complete service reports and handover documentation accurately
5. Collaborate with planning and operations to manage workload and priorities
6. Deliver a first-class customer experience through problem-solving and clear communication
7. Participate in the Out-of-Hours (OOH) call-out rota as required

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
14. Proven experience servicing, repairing, and installing door systems
15. Strong communication and relationship skills
16. Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
17. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay overnight
18. Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE usage
Preferred:
19. Intermediate to advanced fault-finding and commissioning skills
20. Health & Safety certifications (IPAF, PASMA, competency card)
21. Electrical qualification
22. Ability to read technical drawings and manage complex installations
23. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF) for reports
