From conception to product launch, as a Buying Assistant, you'll provide essential administration support to the team while developing relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Our Buying function is based at the Support Centre in Speke, so you’ll be working alongside and learning from a team of established Buyers and Merchandisers.
The role is based full time in the office, Monday to Friday.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
* Providing administrative assistance to the Buyers on Soft Drinks and Alcohol department.
* Managing and updating product information on a critical path.
* Liaising with Far East and UK suppliers, managing supplier setup, and maintaining accurate records.
* Approving pre-shipment images, assembly instructions, test certificates, artwork etc.
* Monitoring competitor activity regarding products, pricing, and promotions.
* Compiling reports and gathering information for the Buyers.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
* Experience as a Buying Assistant is advantageous, although not essential; however, a strong understanding and passion for Buying is required.
* Strong analytic and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with suppliers.
