Shoosmiths are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join the Plot Sales Team who act on behalf of developers, traders, entrepreneurs and home builders across the UK. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will join a team who are responsible for providing full administrative support (including audio typing) to our national plots team. You will be responsible for producing legal documentation to a high level of accuracy and working with your team to ensure deadlines and performance targets are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to move into a growing practice and develop a legal career, as full training will be given around the end-to-end conveyancing lifecycle.
The team
We have specialist conveyancing teams qualified to deal with residential conveyancing. These teams include Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers, Legal Executives, experienced non-qualified Conveyancers, paralegals and support staff.
Our dedicated team of conveyancing lawyers and supporting paralegal progressors provide an unrivalled level of attention, treating each transaction with care and consideration.
We recognise that no two transactions or clients’ requirements are the same and we seek to match our services to meet every need, mindful that this can be a stressful experience which we seek to offset wherever possible. Our expert team progress our clients instructions for 5,000 properties bought and sold each year, while our clients include private individuals, property investors, developers and lenders.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and it would be helpful to have previous experience working in a customer service position. You will enjoy working as part of a team and also possess excellent organisational and time-management skills. A strong attention to detail is also required, as you will be drafting legal paperwork, inputting data and audio typing.
You will be passionate about helping people and like to be thoroughly organised to prioritise work independently.
