We are currently recruiting for an experienced and well-organised Practice Manager to join a respected independent optician based in Chichester. This is a full-time, in-person role offering a salary of £25,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with private medical insurance and a supportive working environment.
The practice is well-established and known for providing highly personal customer service and exceptional eye care. The team takes pride in maintaining a friendly, professional atmosphere for both patients and colleagues.
The successful candidate will be approachable, well-presented, and confident in managing multiple priorities in a busy setting. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice day to day and supporting both patients and the wider team.
Key responsibilities will include managing patient records and appointments, assisting with stock and supplier management, overseeing Health & Safety checks, handling cash and banking duties, and ensuring the reception and front-of-house areas run efficiently. You will also assist with booking clinics, preparing for the following day, processing contact lens orders, and maintaining a high level of organisation across all administrative tasks.
To be considered, you should ideally have previous experience in a customer-facing or reception-based role, along with excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively.
