Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 6:00am – 4:00pmRole OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Site Banksman / H&S Support Operative to work on a busy construction site in Tilbury, Essex. This role will involve traffic control duties as well as providing on-site health and safety support.
The Site Banksman / H&S Support Operative will work closely with both the H&S Manager and the Site Manager to help ensure that all site health & safety requirements are fully complied with and that processes are consistently adhered to by all personnel on site.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out Banksman / traffic control duties to safely manage vehicle and plant movements around site
Assisting the H&S Manager in maintaining high health & safety standards
Supporting daily safety checks, site inspections, and compliance monitoring
Ensuring all site personnel follow agreed H&S procedures
Reporting any safety concerns, incidents, or non-compliance
Providing general site support as required in the role of Site Banksman / H&S Support OperativeRequirements
Valid Banksman / Traffic Marshal qualification
Previous experience working as a Site Banksman / H&S Support Operative or similar site-based role
Good understanding of construction site health & safety
Ability to work long hours and weekends
Strong communication skills and a proactive, safety-first approach
CSCS card preferredWhat’s on Offer
