Job Description
Senior Java Engineer
Location: London (1-2 days a week in the office, mandatory on Thursdays)
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years
Key Responsibilities
* Software development and maintenance of Cortex Secondary Trader applications
* Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including analysis, documentation, development, testing, code reviews.
* Collaborate with the production support team for releases and troubleshooting of the components.
* Provide third-line support for the Cortex Secondary platform
Skills and Experience
* At least four years software development experience or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, inside and outside the team.
* Solid experience with server-side Java development.
* Solid experience with web-based applications and restful APIs.
* Familiarity with relational databases and SQL knowledge.
* An ability to design performant software and an understanding of application performance profiling.
* The platform is principally Linux with some Windows, MQ, SQL Server
* Navigating the technical environments of large organizations.
