About Green People

At Green People, our story began with a simple but powerful belief: nature knows best. Born in 1997 from one mother’s mission to care for sensitive skin, we went on to become one of the world’s first certified organic beauty brands paving the way for the clean beauty movement long before it became mainstream.

For over 25 years, we’ve been proud pioneers of organic skincare, creating high-performance products that are as kind to the planet as they are to your skin. Every formula is crafted with love and integrity, pure, ethical, cruelty-free, and sustainably sourced, because we believe that beauty should never come at the cost of health or the environment.

Today, Green People is more than a skincare brand. We’re a passionate, purpose-driven community on a mission to make a real difference from the ingredients we choose and the charities we support, to the conscious choices we champion every day. If you share our values and want to help shape the future of organic beauty, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview

The Marketplace Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, visibility, and brand consistency across marketplaces such as Amazon, Zalando, and other emerging platforms.

This role will manage the day-to-day relationship with Green People’s exclusive marketplace reseller — ensuring alignment on strategy, performance, and growth — while also developing the capabilities and processes required for Green People to trade directly on selected marketplaces in the future.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and commercial skills, marketplace trading experience, and the ability to balance relationship management with hands-on optimisation. They will also support stock forecasting and planning for both UK and European operations.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Management & Strategy

* Lead the management of Green People’s exclusive marketplace reseller, ensuring they meet agreed sales, profitability, and brand presentation targets.
* Review performance reports and provide strategic direction on pricing, promotions, advertising, and catalogue optimisation.
* Develop the operational and commercial structure for Green People’s direct marketplace trading, including Amazon UK/DE/IT/ES and other platforms such as Zalando.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product data, logistics, and brand standards are optimised for both reseller and direct models.

Performance Analysis & Optimisation

* Analyse marketplace data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance issues.
* Use insights to inform decision-making, drive efficiencies, and increase ROI.
* Monitor advertising performance (Amazon Ads and equivalents) and recommend optimisation strategies.
* Prepare regular performance reports for senior management, covering sales, margins, and advertising metrics.

Stock Forecasting & Planning

* Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to assist in stock forecasting for both UK and European warehouses.
* Ensure marketplace stock levels are aligned with demand forecasts, promotional plans, and seasonal activity.
* Liaise with the reseller and internal teams to minimise stockouts and overstocks.

European Expansion

* Support the expansion into new European marketplaces, including Amazon DE, IT, ES, and Zalando.
* Oversee localisation, catalogue setup, and launch planning for new regions.
* Research and evaluate opportunities in additional markets or platforms suitable for the Green People brand.

Skills & Experience Required

* Experience managing marketplace trading performance, ideally on Amazon (Seller or Vendor Central).
* Proven success managing marketplace resellers, distributors, or agencies.
* Strong analytical ability and confidence working with data to inform decisions.
* Familiarity with Amazon Advertising and marketplace optimisation tools.
* Commercial understanding of European eCommerce operations, including logistics and tax considerations.
* Experience in stock forecasting or working closely with supply chain teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organised, commercially minded, and proactive.
* Passionate about sustainability and natural beauty.
