Development Co-ordinator -Catering Operations (Sous Chef)
Key Activities Your key tasks and areas of responsibility are outlined below. You will;
1. Support the Development Officer Catering Operations (Head Chef) and Development Manager Hospitality with the development, creation and implementation of new food ideas and recipes that celebrate local and seasonal produce and deliver a range of exciting menus and dishes for all our hospitality venues and services.
2. Ensure the highest standards of food safety management and kitchen best practice are implemented and checked, including HACCP compliance, stock rotation, allergen control and food labelling across our catering sites.
3. Be responsible for inventory and stock management to maximise stock availability whilst minimising waste.
4. Contribute to the implementation of the Financial Strategy, Growth Plan and procurement framework across the organisation.
5. In the absence of Development Officer lead the kitchen operations and manage performance of your team to ensure effective delivery, financial sustainability and growth of the organisation.
6. Work collaboratively with the East Ayrshire Leadership team to maximise the impact of our Strategic Vision and Corporate Delivery Plan on our staff teams, communities and partners
Job Purpose Contributing to and delivering excellent customer service across East Ayrshire Leisure Trust, the Co-ordinator will ensure the delivery of the highest quality services, supporting change, challenging the status quo and contributing to the design and delivery of innovative, modern and sustainable services. Working within a performance management and continuous improvement framework the postholder will strive to exceed the expectations of the East Ayrshire Leisure Strategy and Delivery Plan.
