We are seeking a commercially driven and technically capable Business Development Manager to grow our HVAC business across the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will develop distributor partnerships, generate contractor demand, and execute growth strategies across our VRF, RAC, CAC, and Air-to-Water Heat Pump portfolios.
Main Responsibilities:
* Territory & Account Growth: Deliver sales and profit targets through structured territory planning and active management of regional distributors.
* Distributor Development: Act as the main commercial contact for distributor partners, providing product support, training, and strategic alignment to grow market share.
* Contractor Engagement: Drive “pull-through” demand by specifying Hisense solutions with mechanical contractors and connecting projects to the distribution network.
* Trade & Merchant Activation: Visit HVAC merchants and trade counters to strengthen brand presence and support local project opportunities.
* Training & Product Promotion: Deliver product demonstrations and technical briefings to improve market confidence and sales capability.
* Forecasting & Stock Planning: Align sales forecasts with distributor stock levels to support efficient supply and project delivery.
* Market & Pricing Management: Monitor competitor activity and develop competitive pricing strategies that protect margin.
* Financial & Performance Oversight: Support credit control, resolve commercial issues, and provide monthly reporting on sell-in and sell-out performance.
* Industry Representation: Represent Hisense at key industry events and exhibitions.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience within the HVAC industry.
* Proven track record of delivering sales targets, KPIs, and managing distributor or trade accounts.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive revenue and profitability.
* Solid understanding of UK HVAC regulations, including F-Gas, Part L, and Net Zero policy developments.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with confident use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to perform under pressure.
* Full UK driving licence.
