Overview
Evoke Staffing are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join an established client based in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of machinery and vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
Skills
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for mechanical work.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay - £16.00- £18.00 per hours, depending on experience.
Hours: 3 days a week (24 hours) (Flexible) working 08:00 - 17:00 (8 hours)
Contract: Temp - Perm. (Permanent after 12 Weeks, for the right candidate)
