Position Summary
We are seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and committed Consultant Anaesthetists to our friendly, supportive and dynamic Anaesthetic Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The posts are full-time, each comprising a total of 10 PA per week (8.0 DCC + 2.0 SPA). Each post has fixed sessions in areas of sub‑specialty practice and pre‑operative assessment, plus annualised flexible sessions in a wide range of surgical specialties.
The appointee will be expected to work autonomously in their field of expertise to fulfil the clinical and non‑clinical duties within the agreed Job Plan. The appointee will be responsible for the management of those patients under his/her care and, with Consultant colleagues, for the provision of both comprehensive elective and emergency anaesthetic services. The appointee will devote substantially the whole of his/her time to the duties of the post according to the agreed Job Plan and give these priority at all times.
