Job Overview
Targeted Provision is looking for a core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEND tutor or teacher to support students across KS1‑KS5 with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD needs in a flexible, trauma‑informed way. The role includes planning and delivering lessons, providing feedback, and contributing to team and community support activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver flexible, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring for pupils and students referred by local authorities and schools.
* Plan and report lesson activities and provide regular feedback on student progress.
* Support the SEND team, ensuring all team members have the necessary resources and mentoring.
* Participate in community and company events to share knowledge and resources.
* Utilise the referral programme to be rewarded for successful tutor referrals.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
* 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way.
* Familiarity teaching core subjects: English, Maths, and/or Science.
* Enhanced DBS (facilitated if required) and at least two professional references.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
Core Subject Expertise
Maths, English, or Science tutors who can adapt teaching to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.

Location & Salary
Stoke‑on‑Trent, Staffordshire – £28 – £35 per hour (contract).
Must be based in the UK with the right to work. Remote/online roles are possible.
