About Aytac Foods
Aytac Foods Distribution Ltd is one of the leading ethnic food distributors in the UK, with an established product portfolio, strong distribution capability and a growing local packing operation. Our Manchester packing unit has obtained BRC certification, enabling us to serve mainstream retail, private label and local packing requirements more effectively.
We are now looking to expand beyond the traditional ethnic market and open stronger sales channels within UK supermarket chains, convenience retailers and hard discounters.
Role Objective
To introduce Aytac Foods and selected partner food brands to major UK retail channels, support buyer engagement, identify listing opportunities and help build a commercially sustainable route into supermarkets and hard discounters.
What We Are Looking For
· Existing relationships with UK supermarket buyers, category managers or retail procurement teams.
· Experience in FMCG food, grocery, chilled, ambient or frozen product listings.
· Strong understanding of UK supermarket listing processes, category management and buyer expectations.
· Ability to introduce products to retail chains and support commercial negotiations.
· Experience with branded products, private label, local packing or supplier onboarding would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
· Introduce Aytac Foods products to UK supermarket chains, convenience retailers and hard discounters.
· Identify listing opportunities for Aytac’s own brands and selected partner brands.
· Support buyer meetings, product presentations and commercial negotiations.
· Advise on product positioning, pricing, packaging and listing strategy.
· Help develop new sales channels outside the traditional ethnic market.
· Support the growth of Aytac’s BRC-certified packing operation for retail and private label opportunities.
Product Categories
The role may cover a wide range of food categories, including:
· Pulses, nuts, dried fruits and ambient packaged foods.
· Jelly and confectionery-style products.
· Yogurt and chilled dairy products.
· Frozen, canned, bakery and other grocery categories.
· Selected Turkish and international partner brands seeking UK retail access.
Preferred Background
· Former supermarket buyer, broker, commercial manager, retail consultant or FMCG sales professional.
· Strong network within UK grocery retail, supermarket chains or hard discounters.
· Proven track record of opening retail channels or securing product listings.
· Knowledge of UK food retail compliance, packaging and category requirements.
Engagement Structure
This opportunity may be structured as consultancy-based, part-time / project-based, commission-based or full-time employment, depending on the candidate’s experience, network and proposed contribution.
