RSK Asbestos has an exciting new opportunity to join their growing team as an Asbestos Operations Manager. This role is a hybrid position and is preferably based in the Midlands or South/South East areas. The role will also require travel to various offices and sites.
RSK Asbestos is a UKAS accredited consultancy with offices in Hemel Hempstead, Coventry, Helsby, and Glasgow. It provides comprehensive asbestos consultancy services across the country.
Responsibilities:
* Lead operational management to ensure daily activities run efficiently and project delivery expectations are met, with regular attendance at an RSK office.
* Maintain utilisation regardless of location.
* Manage Consultants and Project Managers, including involvement in recruitment.
* Handle tender and project management, including technical review.
* Work with the quality and senior teams to ensure all work complies with quality standards and maintains high quality.
* Engage with clients to resolve issues and attend meetings as needed.
* Identify business development opportunities and participate in meetings.
* Advise clients on asbestos liabilities and management strategies.
* Monitor KPIs such as project turnaround, profitability, debt collection, and query resolution.
Person Specification:
* Full UK driving licence.
* Significant experience in consultancy, testing, and inspections related to asbestos.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Previous management or supervisory experience, or demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Proven track record in managing successful tenders and projects.
* Proactive attitude with a desire to improve business operations.
* Ability to see both the overall business picture and the finer details.
* Ability to work well within a team and independently with confidence and initiative.
* Good workload prioritisation skills.
* Proficient in IT, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary up to £47,500 depending on experience.
