Maintenance Supervisor - Leading M&E Service Provider - Ealing, West London 52K
One of the leading maintenance contractors is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to work on one of their longest standing contracts based in Ealing, West London.
The contract includes a number of facilities and buildings within the higher education sector across the West London area, with the main base being Ealing. Other locations include Brentfrd, Uxbridge, Oxford and Reading which will be visited on an ad-hoc basis.
The role will be looking after a team of eight engineers and will be responsible for all day to day maintenance activities on site with a big focus on the PPM's. Other duties will include managing the reactive maintenance schedules, attending client meetings, compiling reports, supervision of staff and managing sub-contractors.
This is a predominantly "hands off" role in terms of actually carrying out maintenance work and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 8-5; there is flexibility to adjust the working day if required to 9-6 or 7-4.
The Main Responsibilities Are As Follows
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise all reactive and planned maintenance activities (PPM), ensuring delivery meets service level agreements and KPIs
* Monitor and update CAFM systems accurately, ensuring data integrity and performance tracking
* Lead audits and inspections of assets and compliance documentation, including condition surveys
* Manage small works and remedial tasks from initial identification through to completion
* Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, health & safety regulations, and internal procedures
* Maintain current COSHH records, risk assessments, and site documentation
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld
* Liaise with the client, internal teams, and stakeholders, attending meetings as required
* Support health & safety objectives by chairing or contributing to monthly site safety meetings
* Provide technical support and act as a point of escalation during emergency situations
* Oversee the grounds maintenance team
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, ensuring continuity of service during evenings, weekends, and holidays
The Package Is
* Salary up to 52k based on experience
* 25 days holiday

Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
* Fully electrically or mechanically qualified to C&G,HNC/HND Level
* Experience of working around critical systems and plant
* Experience of supervising engineering staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong compliance and health and safety understanding
* Experience or working in commercial hard services FM environment
* Full driving licence
