Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and directly engage with children to understand and represent their views and wishes to the court.
* Use robust risk assessment and mediation expertise to advocate for arrangements that prioritise the best interests of children.
* Use social work skills to understand what the child needs, wants and feels, and advise the Family Courts on the best course of action for the child.
* Provide confident, powerful and succinct written case analysis and recommendations to the court.
* Attend court and act as an advocate for the child, ensuring their voice is heard.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant Social Work qualification is essential.
* Registered with Social Work England (Cafcass reimburses the annual registration cost).
* Demonstrable, relevant experience of working with children and families in a social work setting.
* Experience in Family Court proceedings and understanding of Private and/or Public Law is an advantage.
* Organised, resilient, able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Location & Working Arrangements
Our teams work flexibly and remotely, so your location is not always a critical factor. While we have offices in Bristol, Swindon, Reading and Oxford, proximity to these locations is not essential. We’re happy to discuss preferred working arrangements in more detail during the interview process.
