Fixed term until 29/01/2027 at Firrhill High School, part of The City of Edinburgh Council.
Salary: £33,594 - £50,589; Hours: 35 per week.

Firrhill High School serves the area of South West Edinburgh. In partnership with our five associated primary schools (Bonaly, Colinton, Pentland, Longstone and Oxgangs), we strive to provide learning opportunities of the highest quality. Key Responsibilities
* Teach Chemistry across all years, including Advanced Higher level, ensuring high standards of achievement.
* Collaborate with fellow science teachers and across the curriculum to deliver integrated learning.
* Plan lessons, assess pupils, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
* Participate in the Professional Learning Programme, sharing expertise with colleagues.
* Contribute to school leadership and promote inclusive practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualified teacher in Chemistry (or equivalent).
* Preferred candidate will join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or obtain an update check.
* If you have spent continuous 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
* Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all pupils.
