Master Planner
📍 Location: Southampton (Hybrid)
đź•’ Duration: 18-month contract
đź’· Rate: ÂŁ230 per day
We’re looking for a Master Planner to take ownership of end-to-end supply planning across a complex supply network. This role sits at the heart of the supply chain, working cross-functionally with Demand, Production, Purchasing and Distribution teams to deliver an optimal plan across the full planning horizon.

What you’ll be doing
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
* Own supply chain networks and supply maps across the planning horizon
* Manage overall inventory within the supply network
* Calculate and manage stockholding policies, safety stock, service levels and inventory targets (including MEIO for finished goods)
* Validate and maintain cumulative planning lead times
* Ensure optimal supply plans across FG, WMS and SFG
Planning Execution & Exception Management
* Create, firm and align planned orders for production and purchasing
* Manage inter-market and in-market inventory deployment
* Monitor, resolve and communicate supply and demand exceptions
* Execute distribution orders within firm planning zones
* Select and assess scenarios to resolve supply issues
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Act as a key interface with customers and customer service teams
* Work closely with Demand Planners, Production Schedulers, Purchasing Planners and D&I Planners
* Share forecasts with suppliers and ensure visibility of supplier capacity and raw material availability
* Manage constraints across both internal operations and external suppliers
Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement
* Maintain planning, transactional and master data
* Define and maintain planning resources not held in source systems
* Create Planning BOMs and manage constraints in KXS Rapid Response
* Approve parameter automation policies and segmentation rules
* Support continuous improvement through IWS, CI tools and agile ways of working
What we’re looking for
Experience
* 1–3 years’ experience in Supply Planning, Logistics or NPI
* Manufacturing and/or commercial experience is an advantage
Skills & Capabilities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Solid understanding of supply chain processes and performance metrics
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Experience working with advanced planning systems (APS experience is a plus)
* Familiarity with IWS, CI tools and agile concepts

Education
* University degree (Supply Chain or related discipline preferred)
