Role and Responsibilities
* Position: Temporary Member Support Advisor
* Provide support to the Member Support Services Team
* Work flexibly on a rota between 8.00am – 6.30pm, according to the needs of the service
* Advise, inform and guide teachers on a wide range of matters relating to their employment and membership of the union
* Operate through a busy telephone advice line and via email
Requirements
* Knowledge of employment law or teachers’ terms and conditions is essential
* Commitment to the values and ethos of Trade Unions
* Outstanding member care skills
* Experience of providing telephone advice and guidance within a legal or employment context
Contract and Location
* Salary: £41,864 per annum
* Contract type: Fixed term to 6 October 2026
* Hours: 35 per week
* Location: Based in Rednal, Birmingham – Hybrid working
